For interest
I have just been given the cover disk2 for EasyPC magazine which
includes a calculator which speaks. It is Windows 3.x and 95
compatible; has various settings including the ability to program
macros, but I feel the speech a very useful feature.
You can toggle on and off the speech for digits, operators, the
result and macros. The speech is digitised voice and is very clear.
The colours can also be altered to differentiate between +ive, -ive,
inputs and results etc. There is an equivalent to a paper roll on one
side which is printable.
I'll shut up before you think I'm on commision
.
The program is called SmartSum and is available from...
Oakley Data Services,
Lion Buildings,
Market Place,
Uttoxeter,
Staffordshire ST14 8HZ,
United Kingdom.
