caused a blackout....but I have felt that it might. I also have students
with this problem...including some with ADD.
Are you familiar with Helen Irlen and Scotopic Sensitivity Syndrome?
Years ago I took the training to be a screener and I have the acetate
sheets that she had us use to screen youth and adults for this syndrome.
We were then supposed to refer students for a full evaluation in her
clinic and special glasses with tinted lenses were prescribed. I could
not afford to stay a part of the organization. I do use my acetate
sheets to help students and I have had them use them over both reading
material and the computer screen. It helps A LOT!! Give it a try.
Irlen is big in UK too so you should have no trouble locating a source
for the sheets...but if you do, try many different shades from an art
store, they can be overlayed two or three to form other shades. Play
around till you get the right combination and give it a try. Hope this
helps...Joan
