Good topic to raise, Margaret.
I'm printing the Disability Statement in a leaflet together with the Uni
Policy and Code of Practice on Disability, but in a format (size, layout,
illustrated and paper grade) to match the Uni Prospectuses. I have
thought about trying to press for the inclusion of the Statement in the
1998 Prospectuses which have not yet gone to print, but a bit late
in the day to argue for that I think.
For the freestanding leaflet, however, I
would expect to print sufficient to circulate it to:
All memebers of University staff
All institutional recipients of the Undergrad, Postgrad and Courses Prosp's
[schools, careers services, FE colleges etc.]
All current Disabled students
Plus about 1000 copies for general distribution by request, at conferences
etc.
What do other forum members plan? Has any institution made a clear
committment to revising the Statement annually/3 yearly. That would affect
the print run substantially.
Naturally the Statement text will also be available on disk, in braille or
large print, immediatly, with tape version to follow.
Best wishes to all for the coming year
