Hi Jan
I understand your missgivings about the technical nature of recent
communications BUT a great deal of our work ie supporting students
with disabilities is, perforce, technical.
Your plea for a split and some of the other and suportive comments to
this end might be helpful and I and others could live with it.
You cannot, though, divorce the need for technical knowledge (even
fragmentory!) from disability support in HE.
Computers and computing has opened the doors enableing access to HE
and I feel that a level of computer literacy is very useful in doing
this work.
Paul's comments about the splitting are interesting BUT I think that
the dis-forum net would lose the variety and richness that makes it
so valuable.
Alan.
