Our current spec. would be P150, 16/32MB RAM, over 1GB HD and
mutimedia (CDROM is needed for standard software installation /
reinstallation).
I use a 14" at work and 15" at home. The larger monitor is well worth
the extra stlg50. We've been recommending 15" for the last year.
Remember, monitors can be one of the most variable components in the
system. We've found the ADI to have good performance at reasonable
cost.
I know of institutions (not members of NFAC) who have been regularly
recommending (and obtaining) 17" monitors under the DSA.
