Trinity College Dublin is considering the possibility of admitting
a blind student ( braille user ) who wishes to study Russian. We
here in Swansea investigated a similar case about 5 - 6 years ago
and came to the conclusion that we could not adequately support
such a student because of the problems of both finding material
in Russian, in braille, and, more difficult, creating such material.
It may be that the situation has improved in recent years. Has
anyone had recent experience in this field ??? The enquiry I have
