Development Officer for the National Federation of Access Centres
Salary - Senior Lecturer - 0.4
The University of Plymouth is a member of and the Administrative
Centre for the above organisation. The Federation consists of 30
members in Further Education and Higher Education colleges who
assess, support and provide training for people with disabilities in
education and employment.
The post holder will be required to undertake developmental
activities in the areas of quality control procedures, lobbying of
government departments and other bodies and exploration of
appropriate future pathways for the Federation.
The post is offered initially for a 12 month period from 1 July 1997.
The successful applicant will need to be in the facility of an
ACCESS Centre and should have a degree, experience of assistive
technology assessments for people with disabilities.
Knowledge is also required of current legislation, differing funding
methodologies and applicant should have experience of sourcing funds
and writing bids both at UK and European level.
