Disabilities Officer.
The above position is available immediately to lead a small friendly
team which provides a
quality support service to disabled students and staff. Applicants
should be qualified to
degree level or equivalent and have at least 3 years' experience of
work relating to
disability issues together with excellent interpersonal and
communication skills, both oral
and written. It is expected that the appointee will be someone with
a pro-active practical
hands-on approach to the advancement of the interests and problems of
disabled students
and staff.
A thorough knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and
the social dynamics
of disability issues are essential. Familiarity with information
technology, word-processing
skills and experience of work in a University or higher educational
environment would be
advantageous.

Salary will be on the sale for Administrative Staff Grade 3 (stlg23,691
to stlg27,985 p.a.)
according to qualifications and relevant experience.
