As this is my first message of 1997, may I wish all dis-forum members
a happy new year.
This message from the ACE Centre reminds me that Lorien Systems are
working on up-grades to their software and were asking for ideas from
users as to how TextHelp might be improved. If you have any send them
in so we can share them.
Mine were:
stats on sentence and paragraph length, with facility to move to
longest existing sentence or paragraph in document.
basic facts on grammar like parts of speech and use of punctuation
links to a good user dictionary like the Collins Co-Build (views on
this please, we think it is very good for weak language users)
Franklin like ability to decipher phonetic spellings
Perhaps the ACE Centre's contact should talk to Lorien as they have a
common interest.
