Hearing aid users who want to get good reception from TVs & HiFis etc. can
use the following method. An adaptor lead (with a gain control box) plugs
into the headphone socket (via a 3.5mm to 1/4 inch jack converter if
necessary) and into the radio transmitter. The receiver is used normally
connected directly or via a neck loop to the users post-aural aids. Provided
your control room has sockets for the headphones (surely no-one hard-wires
such items) this technique should also work.
For users without radio aids it may be possible to drive a neck loop or even
the direct inputs on the hearing aids. I suggest you contact Connevans
(01737-247571) who are full of good advice on these types of problems.
