Hi
This may be of interest
The GCSE/A-level "Special Arrangements and Considerations" booklet has two
pages of "Notes on the use of Amanuenses"
As well as setting out the conditions, there are also advisory notes on:
Use of Readers
Comunicators for Hearing Impaired Candidates
inc. for Aural Components and supporting Coursework
Practical Assistants
Use of WP and typewriters **
Production of Transcripts
Use of Prompters
Although minor details change from year to year, this document is well
established and has been used by *all GCSE and GCE* Examination Groups in
England, Wales and Northern Ireland for several years. All GCSE/A-level
Exam Centres get a copy.
It is worth getting a copy just to see what students expectations are if
they have already had this support at school/college.
