Hi Rachel
Do the LEA really want another full assessment from the
Access Centre? Do they want to pay again (35 pounds per
hour) for information that in the main they all ready have?
Speak to the Access Centre - are they reading this? - Maybe
a supplimentary note would suffice, based on information
that they could probably glean from yourself and the
student on the telephone or by post. Especially as the
student is not asking for more equipment. I really don't
see what is to be gained (information wise) from another
face to face meeting - unless there is some doubt as to the
ligitimacy of the claim. The Access Centre already have
full details about the student, her background and how the
disability affects her. The Access Centre and the LEA
should trust your professional contribution to the matter.
