It is of course important to find out from the applicant
how they intend to follow the course - I'm sure they must
have given it some thought - and what support, equipment
and experience they are bringing with them. If they are
academically suited to the course, offer them an interview
- or ring them up - and find out as much as you can from
themselves. Don't make assumptions about what may or may
not be required before talking to the applicant.
You may have been intending to do this, but I think it is
worth adding to the discussion.
