any examples please of students with epilepsy having system to make sure
someone in attendance should they have fit - to check they have not injured
themselves especially if fit takes place in room in hall of residence - we
are lookinginto personal alarm re falling in fall connected to
security/health centre - any examples of similar gratefully accepted...

At Nottingham we have a student who has full time attendance because
of a slightly different problem: she gets no warning of her fits, and
it is possible that she may need medical intervention if an
individual fit continues for a long time. Yours is a
different problem, if it is considered that the student will be able
to operate an alarm after coming out of the fit. I would be
surprised if there is an alarm which will operate spontaneously if
the student falls.
