This is inevitable as documents are normally written (these days) in
a proportionally spaced font, like Times Roman or Ariel. When
converting to a text file it is interpreted as a fixed pitch font
(like Courier). Hence the 'look' changes.
You will get the same result if you cut from Word & paste into your
mailer.
However, can I repeat, it is accepted practice NOT to send binary
attachments to a mailing list. If you want to make them available to
users I can post them on a web site. I can also make them available
as text or RTF files as mailbase downloadable files.
I, personally, will accept binary (that's .doc, .gif, .jpg, .exe,
.zip etc.) file attachments and text files for posting on the
mailbase web site.
