Further to this discussion, we have already had one student trying to
seek judicial review of her case, where a LEA has denied any
support for her disability - dyslexia. This student sought
legal advice support from many areas, including SKILL, but was turned
down. She is still consulting with her solicitors, but has been
very disheartened at the apathy to her case. She is about to
complete her degree course, and is still fighting her case - I would
be interested to hear of any other cases where students have
triumphed over adversity.
