It is not enough to be SoundBlaster compatible to run TextAssist, it has to be
SoundBlaster brand, as TA does a test for Creative Labs compliance. SB Brand
includes the Creative Labs Vibra chip which is (rarely) found on notebook
motherboards. I think that WindowsBridge would have to offer support for some
other kind of speech synthesis if you want to be able to run it on non-SB Brand
sound hardware.
