Dear Colleagues and Friends
Apologies for sending this again, but I now realise that the subject heading had the incorrect date, which I have now fixed!!
Please join us for our key Black History Month Webinar, with Professor Gus John on Wednesday, 19th October 2022: 5.30 pm to 7.00 pm
Register here for a link: https://coventry-ac-uk.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_e_tAFSV4RB6IYMW2_wCpJw
During the Webinar, Professor Gus John will spend some time reflecting on the anniversary of the death of Maurice Bishop (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maurice_Bishop) and describe some of the events and actions, that led up to this historical moment in Caribbean and World history. He will then talk about how this and other uprisings, that have taken since then, are critical to the knowledge, advancement and liberation of Black peoples consciousness and survival, in what many, might describe as increasingly hostile living, learning and working environments. This will be followed by a section for questions and contributions from the audience.
If you have any questions or comments that you would like to share in advance of this Webinar event, please forward them to Annette Hay – [log in to unmask] with the Subject Heading: A Conversation with Professor Gus John
Otherwise, we hope that you will be able to join us for another one of Professor Gus John’s very insightful, honest and uplifting conversations!
Very best wishes
Annette
