This is not just you.
I feel like this entire structure and development has been put together by different teams with different objectives and then it's been bolted together by a group of toddlers.
I mostly use Onedrive and Edge which is not so much of an issues, but once Teams is included, it all falls apart and I just give up as it's simply too much hassle to try and understand how it all fits together. Fortunately I have not needed to use Sharepoint for several years'. However, if it's still much the same as it was then, I can imagine that there are a lot of people feeling a lot of pain. I only ever worked in one environment that really had a decent Sharepoint set up....
Keep on plugging away, don't let the toddlers win.
Simon.

Subject: [data-protection] Teams - SharePoint - OneDrive - Edge...
This does not feel like a Friday question, so apologies in advance.
Am I the only person in the universe who finds the whole Teams - SharePoint - OneDrive - Edge set up as among the most confusing information architecture and user interfaces ever invented?
It brings to mind Donald A. Norman's book 'Complexity' in which he argues that something which is complex has an underlying logic and structure which can be learned and understood. But something which is complicted is inherently confusing and difficult to grasp. I find Teams - SharePoint - OneDrive very much the latter.
Everytime I click something in 'Edge' something different seems to happen and I am presented with yet another bewildering interface.
Or is it because I grew up learning command line interfaces and just don't grasp the wonders of the new fangled collaborative and social media based applications and don't appreciate the value that 'liking' a spreadsheet can add to the working day.
I am prepared to learn, honest, but it would be helpful to know if there is anything actually worth learning before I proceed into what feels like a dense fog.
And what ...dare I ask....are the data protection and FOI and records management issues of all of this? I never feel confident I know where my data is anymore, let alone that of the rest of the organisation.
Am I missing something here????
