And to be clear under GDPR ICO is wrong. The European rules apply. An SAR received today (14th August 18) must be responded to by midnight 16th September 2018.
Today is not part of the 1 month period Art 3(1) . That month ends on 15th September, which is a Sunday and is part of the one month period BUT "Where the last day of a period expressed otherwise than in hours is a public holiday, Sunday or Saturday, the period shall end with the expiry of the last hour of the following working day." Art3(4)

Next question: does "responded to" mean when you send it or when they receive it - pretty irrelevant for email but what about second call post … ?
