I may be a little out of date but if the student can provide a medical
letter confirming the reason she had to drop out and restart is due to
illness and her university supports her restarting, then SFE should
allow DSA to continue.
If not, complain and ask SFE to provide a copy and exact quotation of
what policy they are citing - that nixes about 80% of stupid answers in
my experience.
