This above link is to a protocol currently used whereby information is considered for disclosure (or otherwise) in cases of alleged child abuse and linked criminal and care directions hearing.
I am enquiring as to whether or not local authorities disclosing information to the police under this protocol do so in a redacted form, or whether they allow the police unfettered access to the full information in the first instance?
I would also be interested in any views on how the protocol works in practice, i.e. whether or not it helps or hinders the process etc?
Regards
Derek
