My understanding is that you'd always need an Article 6 legal basis as well as an Article 9 one but happy to be corrected on that.

Does Article 9 (2, j) cover the processing (processing as per the GDPR definition) of data with the end game of archiving it; or, does it just cover the archiving part, and you need a separate legal basis for the actual processing (i.e. collection, analyse, sharing)?
