Hi Michael,
IANAL.
I read the text before I read your question properly, and the word
contract stuck out. Assuming there is no further correspondence, when
the college replies then you may have a contract. It may be better to
have the contract text before the signature point with some more
explanation, what happens when you apply ... I would keep the data
protection stuff separate from the contract. It seems to me you need
another round of correspondence to form the contract.
What if they apply for two different courses intending to only pursue
one (need to see if they would be accepted in one or the other or both)?
Fair enough for FT study, but if the study is PT what if you cannot
offer the course in the days you thought you could and you offer it on
different days/times, you are then in breach of contract.
I guess you will run all the courses you advertise and some will not be
subject to "if we have enough students taking the course".
Excuse the random ramblings. Happy to help muddle up the waters.
Charles
