National something or other for Volunteer Organisations - NCVO - has resources here: https://www.ncvo.org.uk/practical-support/information/volunteer-management
My key recommendation is to be really careful about not using the word 'contract' in any context related to volunteers - more like 'terms and conditions' of the voluntary relationship to ensure protection of any vulnerable people involved, etc. I spent time as a volunteer manager with BTCV, where I spent too much time having exasperating conversations with job centres (as they were then) explaining that the person WAS available for work at any time, we would miss them, yet wave them bye bye instantly with joy in our hearts for their finding gainful employment and hope they visit when they're on holiday, etc. That was over 10 years ago, it's even harder for volunteers on benefits these days, sadly.
Best wishes
Sandre
