Both Survey Monkey and the free version of Snap Surveys were used by us here until a few years ago when a decision was taken to purchase the hosted Snap software licence, so we could be sure that surveys/forms created were as secure as they could be behind our own firewalls.
I have issues around the use of any web based solution like these (and others such as Mail Chimp etc.), as we cannot be sure of the security and we cannot negotiate a contract on our terms, but usually have to simply agree to the company's terms and conditions.
Best wishes,
Michelle

It is used by people in my organisation but certainly not for submission of applications or for anything with personal data on it.
We use it for surveys and opinions where it can be kept anonymous and generic
Survey Monkey is based in the US so I would be very unhappy about personal data being held by them.

Subject: [data-protection] Survey Monkey
Hi All,
Does anyone currently use survey monkey in their organisation for individuals to submit applications for posts and roles? We are thinking of using it for examiner applications but I have some hesitation over the security of the data and whether it provides appropriate security measures for the storage of sensitive and personal data.
I would be really interested to hear from anyone who uses it for this purpose or has considered using it for this purpose.
Thanks,
Adele
