Thanks both. I was hoping that was the right interpretation as I definitely want to provide feedback on the portability one. The idea that every data controller who holds my personal data is going to make it available through a, presumably on-line, "API" is, frankly, terrifying. I did point this out at a round-table in 2010 when the Commission claimed to be "in listening mode", but it seems they weren't :(
