We have no issue supplying it as long as we have to. We would have to search on each individual extension number to see if any calls were made from there. I don't intend to do this if I decide it's not their personal data, which I don't think it is.

In my (limited) experience of managing telecomms this would not be hard to extract. I remember BT supplying me with a complete list of all calls made from a large organisation for billing purposes (number called, time, cost) and this could easily be searched electronically to produce a report.
Why do you have qualms about disclosing it?
Having said that I'm not immediately convinced that the fact that a number 01234 567890 made a call to my mobile IS my personal data.
However, even, if it's not is there a need to worry about FOIA? My number IS my personal data and if I ask my employer for all calls made to my number surely it would be a simple refusal to confirm or deny under s40(5)(a) as the request is linked to MY number.
