Unfortunately this case doesn't seem to be on Bailli, the full transcript is downloadable at judiciary.gov.uk - won't allow me to grab the pdf from work:

Essentially, held that Sec State/Govt departments/NHS bodies were acting legally in passing information to Home Office, no confidentiality broken as no clinical information disclosed, only financial; debt collectors would do the same, etc.
We had an interesting case in one NHS organisation I worked with - someone who had joined the organisation a number of years previously with limited leave to remain, staff file updated with their indefinite leave to remain - reference number only. At least one TUPE and six or seven years later, we had a call from the Home Office. Turned out that the reference number was a fake - belonged to someone else, different nationality and gender. Impossible to trace back "what had happened" that far given organisational changes. The "lesson" for us at that point is that we cannot be expected to be forgery experts, check docs/numbers with the Home Office up front and make that a condition of employment. It may well be now: it just wasn't then. I found the guy from the HO to be very helpful and reasonable about the whole mess by the way - thanks, if there's anyone from that dept on here.
Best wishes
