In Norfolk, we have a Panel who look at applications and there will be a list of evidence provided. Usually it is a Statement, LDA and other stuff from the future provider outlining what they think is required and what they can offer.

Subject: FE funding for students with statements/EHCPs
Is there anyone there who can help myself and a family understand the funding for a child with a statement/soon to become EHCP. They will transition this summer and the child will need everything in place ready.
Further what is law and what is custom and practice.................
We understand that there is either High or low needs in post 16 provision which is then further broken down into elements1/2/ 3 - 3 being the high needs ? This is further categorized into bands 1-4 for learning difficulty - from slight to severe - and then the support hours are given.
Who decides this and what is the essential paperwork which needs to be given to college to support etc.
Seems to be difficult to make this a seamless transition
