I must admit I am waiting for the legislation to be finalised before attending anything - particularly not events at the other end of the country costing a major proportion of my section's training budget!

Subject: [data-protection] Preparing for new DPA law?
Dear All,
I have seen advertisements about preparing for the new DPA law. I was wondering what others thought about such course given that the final details are not confirmed i.e. the law is still draft.
Also, what is the status of current BCS/ISEB qualifications in light of this pending change? Is it still valid or will a new qualification be required to keep up with the legislation?
I would be curious to know what others are planning to do with regard to the new legislation and whether any current BCS/ISEB DP qualification holders are planning to take a new qualification when the law is passed?
Thanks
Lawrence
