Hello!
I have received an enquiry from a colleague who wants to use Facebook Power Editor to reach a certain constituency of students.
As I understand it, address data is not sent to FB, but rather a unique "hash" is sent that FB compares with the hashes of their own data to see if there is match. If there is they create a list that can be used to provide information/set up communication conduits on our behalf.
My view is that this is disclosure of personal data to FB as a data processor, so engages the 7th and 8th principles, but I was wondering if anyone else had used this service and how they approached the DP issues.
Many thanks,
Nick
