Good Afternoon,
Cardiff Council's trading standards team have advised us that they are adopting the national "Memex" system, a bespoke database specifically designed for the gathering and exchange of enforcement intelligence information.
We are apparently the last Council to do so in Wales so i'd presume we're one of the last nationally. Do any of you know much about this system? Whether a Data Processing Agreement was signed between you and the company and/or whether any work was done centrally on a sharing protocol or even a Privacy Impact Assessment?
We're not sure how long Cardiff Council will be responsible for Trading Standards but while it is, there's a lot of sensitive data proposed to be transferred to this company and potentially shared with other agencies so any information you may have gathered would be very useful.
Many Thanks
Andrew Lane
