The address of several articles I have been advertising on JISC mailing lists for the last three years has changed from SSRN.com to my own website.
The shift is in relation to the following self-archived documents:
- Cataloguing the unfindable: mapping cybercrime in information management practices
- La cybersecurite [book review]
- Is there any digital copyright exchange in your future?
- The missing business case: rise and fall of an information literacy training programme
- Mind the BYOD gap! Cyber security at a crossroads
- Web of deceit [book review]
The shift is due to the need to simplify the maintenance of my own work and avoid wrong, confusing or inappropriate references against the documents. This is a problem that is impacting all the open repositories that accept syndicated ads because at present, as far as I am aware, there is no way to prevent interferences via Google Ads from being displayed together with the work of an author under his or her credentials.
As a SSRN registered user since 1997, I have expressed my concerns and I am sure that SSRN staff starting with Michael Jensen - SSRN founder, who is not only Professor Emeritus at Harvard University but also interested in corporate governance in Europe - will promote the implementation of a solution as soon as it will become available.
In the meantime, my documents, freed from the unwanted ads, are accessible at http://www.brunellalongo.co.uk/publications.html
Thanks for sharing.
Kind Regards
Brunella Longo
