It might also be the type of electronic magnifier he's using that's
slowing things down - if it's a handheld one they're not really suitable
for reading for more than brief periods. Maybe one of the automatic
desktop cameras that can scan pages really quickly and re-format them
into large print (with high quality speech output as backup support for
long documents) could be better? Or contact publishers to see if they
can provide electronic versions of the books that can be re-formatted
into large print and read on a something like a Kindle or other tablet?
