The Pirate Party is represented in the European Parliament (e.g. Amelia
Andersdotter) and the UK Party has a 73 page manifesto
(http://www.pirateparty.org.uk/media/uploads/Manifesto2012.pdf)
They promote Digital Rights and using the Internet to improve democratic
processes; however the name of the Party is an obvious gift to UK Tabloids.

Subject: [data-protection] International Talk Like a Pirate Day
Avast ye swabs, it be International Talk Like a Pirate Day today (19 Sept)
and the University of Oxford information security team has entered into the
spirit, downing a keg of rum and blogging like a pirate about software
piracy:
http://blogs.it.ox.ac.uk/oxcert/2013/09/19/aaaarrrggghhhh-ye-be-hacked/ Data
protection, obviously being one of the issues for a hacked University
computer!
Is anyone else doing anything like this today? I've seen a fun YouTube video
from one of the American universities!
