I've been asked about informed consent requirements when moving from on-site to hosted solutions for software packages as there appears to be varying opinions on whether people's consent is required to migrate their data.
I think that if its a change in the way we process data which we haven't informed them about previously then we do because I think it goes beyond the reasonable expectation of what we may do with their data.
If anyone else has come across this I'd be grateful for your thoughts.
