Hi,

*nods* I'd be interested in thoughts from different professionals too e.g
needs assessors, DSA supplier types, AT specialists as well as disability
advisers especially those who struggle with tech cos if the queries I get
are anything to go by most people aren't confident with tech.

It would be useful to hear what disabled students think as I often feel
they're excluded from these surveys and don't always have time to fill
them in or find them too difficult to understand when they have lots of
work and exams to concentrate on.

It's going to be about time criticality and how to collaborate more and
who with. I know I don't hold hard data, that's half my issue, the plural
of anecdote is not data and I am aware I only have my qualitative
experience to go on.
I did find this paper from University of Glasgow based on 2011 data about
computer ownership amongst students being EXTREMELY high - WAY higher than
I expected.

It could be worth asking who has data and try to collate all the issues as
brief headings that could be fed back e.g
Public access PCs
Why disabled students would be more disadvantaged
Technical support issues for software on non standardised machines
> I feel we need to have hard evidence for all the answers we give to BIS.
Do you feel there is no value in qualitative "experiential" evidence for
BIS? I'm just thinking many of us here have experience but minimal data
but could give case study style examples or similar...
All the best
Natalya
