There's a variety of things but a lot depends on things like whether your
student uses hearing aids, cochlea implant(s) or other methods of
communication. Then the course length, teaching methods, type etc. I have
postgrads where all their course is delivered by seminar in person which
is harder to support than traditional lectures for deaf students.
Technology I can think of off the top of my head are radio aids/FM systems
mainly and some students don't find them helpful so it's hit & miss.
Maybe software to help the student plan essays etc?
Not strictly assistive technology but rather than a tech solution deaf
people tend to get more out of support such as notetaking or some of the
electronic notetaking and captioning services but these can quickly get
costly for institutions even with DSA covering some of it.
I can strongly recommend CHESSFORUM - here is the homepage you can
subscribe on for specific deaf student support.
Hope that's a start anyway.
