What did the original dyslexia diagnosis suggest? Does that she'd any light on the student's needs? I think i remember Claire Trott saying at a STEM meeting that the main issue for a dyslexic student with maths was actually understanding the language in which the maths problems were expressed. If that is the case then a dyslexia tutor to deconstruct the wording of the problem may be appropriate?

John

Subject: Mathematics Dyslexia Tuition
Dear all,
A Needs Assessor has recommended Mathematics Dyslexia Tuition for one of our students, and I am wondering if anyone else has had experience of this, and if you are aware of any particular qualification required for this or any providers who offer this type of specialist tuition ? Or is it just a case of sourcing a Dyslexia Tutor who has strengths in relation to maths ?
Any advice welcome.
Best Regards
Nicola
