Dear Colleague
Following on from successful workshops at the University of Reading and
Leeds Met University on 'Engaging academic colleagues in on-line appraisal'
and 'moving from a pilot to roll out', the third Performance For All
working group event is on the topic of 'The Business case for an investment
in Performance Management tools'.
Aimed at HRD's / Heads of OD / Staff Development and other senior staff,
this will be held at City University in London (another PFA partner
organisation) on the 28th November, details and how to reserve your (free)
place here: <http://www.performanceforall.org/>
Over 40 institutions across five different countries outside the UK are now
running trials of the software tools (see website for full list). Some
simply moving appraisal paper processes easily to the new on-line
environment, some using goal setting and competency framework modules in
more depth. Many report that its flexibility offers more opportunity to
add value than standard features built into large ERP / HR systems (a
project objective), initial impact evaluation is encouraging.
Version two that takes into account all the learning during the last years
research and development phase was launched to the sector last week. If
you would like to see the tools or run a trial at your university just get
in touch with me and we can get you set up very easily.
Some screen shots of software attached.
With best wishes
Christian
