Paul, I've seen you post in various places. You have some strongly held views and some very interesting points to make, especially about the specific issue of whether someone can contract themselves, in an employment sense, out of their statutory rights. But I've also seen you alienate those who engage in discussions on these subjects, by altering the tone of debate when people disagree with you, or don't accept the position you take.
You call this a public forum, and to a degree that's true. But you had to sign up to it, and you'll know that it's a mailing list for professionals in this field.
I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve by posting here, but I doubt it can be achieved by laying in to two of the most respected and decent people on the list, who posted measured and reasonable responses to this thread.
Not everyone who disagrees is an enemy.
Best wishes
Jonathan

A poorly-resourced council unfairly smears 10 of its own members of the public via a press release / councillors' report in order to mask its own ongoing abysmal performance on Freedom of Information. With no justification for doing this within the FOIA. It also fails on self-awareness, comparing itself to "other councils", but forgetting that it is a learning disabled abuser with 3 suspended directors, including the FoI boss himself, along with £10 million in public money squandered in associated scandals. Public relations and reputation management is crayoned all over it.
