The Equality Act 2010 places a duty on public bodies to monitor equalities. The Council is required by law to collect data about the makeup of its workforce.
This statement has been provided by our equalities department and introduces a questionaire which collects sensitive personal data for anonymous statistics (DP exemption) - I expect other authorities are aware of the type of questions re race, religion, disabilities etc etc.
My question is that they intend recording the responses by paynumber which to me doesn't make the data anonymous, althought the resulting statistics will be.
There will be a FPN and also the completion of the form will be voluntary - so does this make storing it by paynumber ok if the ds is aware of that ?
Thanks for any opinions.
