Hi Rebecca
I am not clear which evidence you refer to.
At my university, students are required to have a report from an educational
psychologist noting SpLD. They have the option of using an in-house ed psych
if they are not able to source one themselves.
Once the report has been issued by the ed psych, the disability support unit
supply students with a certificate (complete with their student ID) noting
their SpLD. It is the student's responbility to photocopy the certificate and
attach it to their scripts.
The disability support unit also send an email to the disability coordinator
confirming that the student has an SpLD. This email is kept in a shared drive
on the network so that if there is any doubt about the validity of the
certificate it can be checked centrally.
Does this help?
Regards.

Subject: Supporting Evidence
Dear Colleagues
We have recently encountered some problems with evidence supplied by
students, the problem being that the evidence has turned out not to be
genuine.
Do you have a system of checking or verifying information of this sort
provided by students? We are going to be looking at our procedures because
of these recent difficulties and I wondered if others had encountered
anything similar or if there were checks in place?
Thanks
Rebecca
