Grade 8 Salary: £31,798- £35,788 per annum, pro rata 29 Hours Per Week (4 days) for a 15 Month Maternity Cover
The University of Bradford Disability Service is looking for an enthusiastic person with experience of providing support, advice and guidance to adults with dyslexia, to join its expanding team as a Disability Adviser.
The post is for a 15 month period, to cover maternity leave.
Through casework, you will be primarily responsible for meeting the needs of students with SpLD (Dyslexia/Dyspraxia). Support of other disabled students will occasionally be necessary.
Work will include co-ordinating and carrying out the annual initial screening for SpLDs across the University, referring students for further diagnosis, assessing their needs and making appropriate recommendations for adjustments.
We are looking for someone who is educated to degree level (or equivalent), and who has relevant experience in support for adults with SpLD in Higher Education.
