This may be only the first of many questions I have about the Proposed
Regulation, but for starters: I notice that the Regulation abolishes the
Directive, so what happens to our DPA (which implements the Directive) if
the Regulation is agreed?
Is it:
a) Our DPA automatically becomes null.
b) There is a planned and graceful repeal of the DPA to coincide with the
coming into force of the Regulation.
c) There is a planned and graceful amendment process so that the DPA
tallies with the Regulation.
d) The two run in parallel, causing chaos until someone pulls their
finger out.
