We were unable to transfer Dragon 10 files onto Dragon 11.
There is also the 'boiler plate text' feature to be aware of. The user can add a trigger word into their profile which brings up reams of text recorded. E.g. user says 'Theory of relativity' and the entire theory is dropped into the document word for word.

Beware though - the student needs to be using the same version of Dragon as on the university computer, as in my experience Dragon never imports successfully from an older/newer version. It might be better just to let the student use their laptop and ensure the exam is well invigilated.

Hi Jolene
If Dragon is the medium the student normally uses to write, then allowing the use of Dragon in exams is entirely appropriate, in my view.
If there are security concerns about using the student's own computer, the simplest way to get the voice file to another computer with Dragon on it is to save it to a USB drive and then load the voice file into the other Dragon on the secure computer.
Cheers
