A pragmatic approach for the school to suggest would be that the parent marks the video as for private viewing only, which will allow only their invited youtube "friends" to view it.

The current ICO guidance states that parents, grandparents etc can take photos/videos of their children in school plays, sports etc providing the images are for their own use. A parent has taken a video of his two children winning a relay race in the school sports. He put it on YouTube for relatives who live abroad to see. The school has asked him to remove it (which he has) as it obviously shows other children in the race.
Has anyone any comments on this ?
