Hi Ros,
I have just downloaded and skimread both of the DSA short forms on the new
DSA website and neither show any signs of needing a disability advisor
signature.
Do you mean the longform - although I couldn't see anything different from
the usual section 5 for postgrads and part time students etc.
What I do note is there are two downloadables for each version which
aren't differentiated well. One appears to be a basic PDF, the other
appears to be an online completable PDF.
While I applaud an online completable PDF, SFE seem to have created one
which cannot be saved (WHY?!?!?) and has no field labels/tooltips or any
other accessibility features to make it accessible to screenreading using
students.
I'll email the DSA team with my suggestions for fixing the online
completable forms and ask them to make it clear one is an "online
completable" because this should be clear.
Online completable forms definitely a GOOD thing! As a non handwriting
person I welcome this. I just want it done properly. I hope SFE can fix
these for this year or I'll end up getting annoyed and firing up my copy
of ProperAcrobatTM!
