I can't speak for my organisation but I've always personally been of the
view that to use a name in the subject of an email does constitute a
breach when combined with visibility of the screen and list of emails
and some knowledge of to whom the name belongs.
As I access my email a lot in classrooms where there are students, and
those students know the names of their classmates, I generally would
avoid letting it be known that I am discussing those students via email.
In our case it may also be clear what the correspondence relates to
based on who is sending the email. For example, higher management would
be involved in disciplinary cases.
